This figure is based on a single ankle bone found in Australia, which has been interpreted as belonging to an allosaurid, though this identification is by no means certain.

Animal Theropoda incertae sedis The text of the paper insert for this figure reads:

"Scientific Name: Allosaurid family Pronounced: al-o-saw-rid
Type of Animal: Reptile Period: Cretaceous (146-65 million years ago)
Allosaurid dinosaurs were fierce carnivores. They were similar in shape to Tyrannosaurus rex, but did not grow as large. Even so, an adult Australian Allosaurid might have measured 6 m in length and weighed 500 kg. These dinosaurs were hunters, using their powerful jaws to kill prey. Like most predators they probably also scavenged food when they could."
