| phylum | Chordata | Wakaleo is an extinct genus of predatory marsupial that lived in Australia during the Neogene period. It was not as large as its relative Thylacoleo, perhaps hunting smaller prey; however, the morphology was similar, particularly the blade-like slicing teeth.
