The Safari Ltd Carnegie Collection was co-produced and distributed in Europe by Schleich between 1988 and 1994, when the introduction of Schleich's own Replica Saurus line ended the partnership. Carnegie dinosaur replicas were released by Schleich in Germany with similar tags to their US counterparts, but prominently bearing the Schleich name and logo, and each was given a unique Schleich number. In some cases, the names of the animals differed from those given by Safari, though this difference existed only on the tags - the informational text embossed on the models remained the same as the original Safari releases as both companies utilized the same set of molds. The color and materials used for initial production runs of figures produced by Schlecih and Safari also seem to have differed, and while Safari produced the molds, it is possible Schleich supervised production and painting of "their" own figures, at least until the figures' colors were standardized around 1990.

The models were sold by Schleich with Schleich tags ( but always with Safari info text) 1989 - 1993.
