In the 60`s competition became harder, and Reisler began selling plastic bags of cheaper, often unpainted models through grocery stores etc. - in addition the the normal, higher quality models, that were still sold by "real" toy shops.
For a period of time, unpainted models came in boxes of soap powder. However this became forbidden as unfair marketing ( It was forbidden in Denmark untill 2007).
