The Flat-headed Amphibian belonged to a group of extinct animals called Temnospondyls. A predator which grew to about 3 m in length, it lived in swamps and waterways, although it might have spent part of its time on land. It had a huge mouth with powerful jaws and long, sharp teeth, and would have hunted fish, crayfish and even other amphibians." |
