phylum | Chordata | Yalkaparidon is an extinct genus of Australian marsupial, the only known member of its order and family. It is likely that additional fossils would give evidence of affinity with other orders of marsupials, but the confusing array of morphology exhibited by existing specimens make placement difficult. Yalkaparidon remains are known from the Oligocene-Miocene deposits in Queensland, Australia.
