†Syrian wild ass
phylum | Chordata | The Syrian wild ass(Equus hemionus hemippus), less commonly known as an achdari or hemippe, or Mesopotamian onager or Syrian onager is an extinct subspecies of onager native to the Arabian peninsula. It ranged across present-day Syria, Palestine, Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
