Scolopacidae, is a family of small to medium-sized birds in the order Charadriiformes. Known as the sandpiper family, this group includes curlews, godwits, turnstones, snipes, woodcocks, and phalaropes. Most members of this family live in wetlands and on coasts, but some species are found in grasslands and woodlands.
