| phylum | Arthropoda | The raspberry horntail is a sawfly (not a wasp) with narrow iridescent black body, and with long antennae. A mature larva is cylindrical, white body about 1 inch (25 mm) long. Head is brown and the larva has a short spine on the tail end.
