Ohio Art was started by Henry Simon Winzeler in 1908. They are best known for the Etch A Sketch, but started as a lithographed tin maker. During the 1950s they produced many farm playsets and made at least three different series of animals.

The first series was in a flat style of hard plastic, produced from 1950-1952
Farm Series Two
The second series was made in a semi-hard plastic, then in hard styrene plastic, and later in soft plastic. They were in production from 1951 to 1974
