Leyla was a Bavarian composition figure maker of military figures founded in 1934 by Christian Friedrich Ley and Richard Lades. But LEYLA also produced animal figures. In 1945, when the American troops captured Nuremberg, the owner destroyed all figurines, stocks, catalogs and molds. As a result, animals produced before the war are rare. But LEYLA started after war with a new series composition figures until 1959 and later of monochrome plastic animals. This animals were later produced in hard plastic and painted. Both series of animals - plastic and hard plastic are not marked. LEYLA stopped the production 1978.
