It is found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. The habitat consists of lowland forests. It is thought to be a co-mimic of Charaxes fournierae jolybouyeri.
