phylum | Arthropoda | Tenodera aridifolia was considered a different species from Tenodera sinensis, but this has changed and now, it is considered a subspecies of T. sinensis. It is in the subfamily Mantinae of the family Mantidae. Common name is Japanese giant mantis. Like other mantids, about 200 nymphs usually hatch out of an ootheca.
