JIM stands for Jouets Incassables Modernes translating to English as Unbreakable Modern Toys. This French company began in 1947 in Paris. They produced plastic soldiers, far-west figures and jungle animals. In the early 1950's, the company left Paris for Boulogne-Billancourt. Since 1955, they produced "Walt Disney" and "US comics" Licensed figurines. In the 1960's they extend their licensed figurines range with "French comics" and heroes. In 1970, JIM got a big order to "Save the Biafra". But the secessioniste province falls again into the lap of the central power and the invoice is not honored. A disaster for the company which will close its doors in 1974.
