phylum | Cnidaria | The giant green anemone, Anthopleura xanthogrammica, is an intertidal species of the Pacific Ocean, from Alaska as far south as Panama. The crown of tentacles can be as wide as 25 cm in diameter. Photosynthetic algae contribute to pigmentation to provide the bright green color.
