The Christian Götz und Sohn (GÖSO) company was founded in Fürth in 1878. Until World War I, GÖSO mainly produced tin accessories for doll's houses, including furnishings for complete bathrooms such as tiled walls, bathtubs, stoves for these bathtubs and washbasins. During the First World War and before the Second World War, GÖSO produced military toys. In the 1950s, GÖSO began to produce toys made entirely of plastic. Despite its early focus on plastic, fierce competition on the German toy market forced GÖSO to close its doors in 1960.
