superdomain | Ediacaran biota | Dickinsonia is an extinct genus of simple opisthokont from the Ediacaran biota. Most paleontologists consider it an animal, but some have interpreted it as a fungus. Its fossils have been found in Australia, Russia, and Ukraine.
