Coreidae is a large family of predominantly sap-sucking insects in the Hemipteran suborder Heteroptera.The name "Coreidae" derives from the Ancient Greekκόριςmeaning bedbug. As a family, Coreidae members are cosmopolitan, but most of the species are tropical or subtropical.
