phylum | Chordata | Coelurosauravus is a basal diapsid reptile, average length of 40 cm., with specialized wing-like structures allowing it to glide. These were dermal bones with skin stretched over them. The skull contained a broad back with a serrated crest. It lived during the Upper Permian (Logingian) period in Germany, England, and Madagascar.
