| The Cimicidae family, commonly known as Bed Bugs, is a family of small parasitic insects in the Heteroptera suborder of the order Hemiptera (true bugs). They are characterized by their small, flattened, and wingless bodies, and they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals. The family contains around 90 species globally, but the most notorious member is the Common Bed Bug (*Cimex lectularius*).
