| The Flower chafers are a large and colorful group belonging to the subfamily Cetoniinae within the family Scarabaeidae. They are commonly known for their unique ability to fly without opening their elytra (wing covers), thanks to a notch on the side, and for their strong attraction to flowers, on which they feed. This subfamily includes some of the world's most stunningly metallic and patterned beetles.
